Description
Robeco Climate Euro Government Bond UCITS ETF EUR Acc is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that provides exposure to euro-denominated government bonds from Eurozone countries, with a strong emphasis on climate transition policies. It invests in bonds issued by governments demonstrating ambitious, credible, and effective measures to reduce emissions, as measured by Country Transition Scores, aiming for a weighted average score equal to or better than the FTSE Climate Collective Transition EMU Broad Government Bond Index. The fund allocates equal or higher weight to green bonds compared to its benchmark, directly supporting projects like renewable energy and transport electrification that lower emissions. Using quantitative optimization techniques, it constructs portfolios that closely match the risk, return, yield, and duration of the FTSE EMU Broad Government Bond Index, the traditional market-value weighted parent index. This approach enables investors to integrate climate-aware strategies into fixed income allocations while preserving the core characteristics of conventional government bond portfolios. As an accumulating share class in EUR, it reinvests income to compound returns over time. Managed by Robeco Institutional Asset Management B.V., the ETF serves as a practical tool for aligning sovereign debt investments with climate action in the euro government bond market.
