PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. is Poland's largest state-owned public power company and a leading producer in the energy sector. As the parent of the PGE Capital Group, it employs over 42,000 people and delivers stable electricity to nearly 5.8 million customers across the country, managing 40% of the national distribution network. With 19.1 GW of installed capacity, it generates 56.2 TWh annually, primarily from conventional sources like lignite and hard coal, including the massive Bełchatów Power Station, while transitioning through investments in renewables. Headquartered in Lublin and listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2009, PGE drives Poland's energy transformation with strategies targeting climate neutrality by 2050, emphasizing offshore wind (over 6.5 GW by 2040), photovoltaics, flexible gas plants, and smart grids to ensure supply security and economic competitiveness. The Polish State Treasury holds a majority stake of about 60%.
