WisdomTree Brent Crude Oil is a fully collateralised, UCITS-eligible Exchange Traded Commodity (ETC) issued by WisdomTree Commodity Securities Limited. It delivers total return exposure to Brent crude oil, a primary global benchmark for crude oil pricing sourced mainly from the North Sea, by tracking the Bloomberg Commodity Brent Crude Subindex 4W Total Return. This index reflects price movements of continuously rolled Brent crude oil futures contracts on a predetermined schedule, incorporating roll yield effects from contango or backwardation in futures markets. The ETC uses synthetic replication through fully funded collateralised swaps, with collateral primarily in government bonds from the US, Germany, and other European countries held in segregated accounts. Domiciled in Jersey and launched on January 9, 2012, it carries a total expense ratio of 0.49% per annum and structures as a debt security rather than equity.
