WisdomTree Aluminium is a fully collateralised, UCITS-eligible Exchange Traded Commodity (ETC) that provides investors with targeted total return exposure to aluminium futures contracts. Launched in September 2006 and domiciled in Jersey, it tracks the Bloomberg Commodity Aluminum Subindex 4W Total Return, which reflects the performance of continuously rolled aluminium futures used in the Bloomberg Commodity Index. The ETC employs a synthetic replication method via fully funded collateralised swaps, backed by high-quality collateral such as government bonds held in segregated accounts, ensuring transparency and risk management without physical delivery of the metal. With a management expense ratio of 0.49% and assets around 64 million euros, WisdomTree Aluminium offers a straightforward way to access aluminium price movements, a key industrial metal vital to sectors like aerospace, automotive, construction, and packaging due to its lightweight strength and corrosion resistance. This ETC plays a significant role in commodities markets by enabling diversified exposure to industrial metals trends driven by global demand, supply dynamics, and economic cycles, while limiting losses to the invested amount.
