WisdomTree Core Physical Gold is a UCITS eligible Exchange Traded Commodity (ETC) that provides investors with simple, cost-efficient access to the physical gold market. It delivers returns equivalent to the movements in the gold spot price, minus a low management fee of 0.12%, by being fully backed by allocated physical gold bars held in secure vaults in London by custodian HSBC Bank plc. Each bar conforms to London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Good Delivery standards, ensuring high-quality collateral that is segregated, individually identified, and inspected twice annually. The product's metal entitlement is published daily for transparency, and securities can be created or redeemed using LBMA-compliant gold by authorised participants. Structured as a Jersey-domiciled debt security, it offers liquidity through exchange trading with market makers, eliminating the need for investors to handle storage, insurance, or delivery. With assets under management exceeding $1.5 billion USD since its inception in December 2020, WisdomTree Core Physical Gold plays a key role in commodities portfolios, serving as a direct proxy for gold price exposure amid global economic and inflationary pressures.
