Description
Xtrackers S&P 500 Swap UCITS ETF 1C is an equity exchange-traded fund designed to mirror the performance of the S&P 500, a benchmark of large-cap U.S. companies across major industries. It uses a synthetic replication method via a swap to deliver index exposure, which can help reduce tracking differences and mitigate withholding tax drag on U.S. dividends compared with direct replication structures. The fund is accumulating, reinvesting dividends back into the portfolio rather than distributing cash, and carries a total expense ratio of 0.15% per year. Launched in 2010 and domiciled in Luxembourg, it has gathered several billion euros in assets, reflecting its role as a core building block for broad U.S. equity exposure within diversified portfolios. By targeting the 500 largest U.S. stocks, the ETF provides access to sectors such as information technology, health care, financials, consumer discretionary, and communication services, aiming to capture the performance of the U.S. large-cap market through an efficient, rules-based index approach.
