Its main objective is to maximize total return through income and capital growth in the euro-denominated short-term bond market, while prioritizing capital preservation and liquidity. The portfolio features an average weighted maturity of approximately 0.92 years and effective duration of 0.82 years, offering limited sensitivity to interest rate fluctuations. Key sector exposures include treasuries at around 66%, financial institutions at 14%, and industrials at 7%, with credit quality predominantly AAA (25%) and BBB (11%), alongside a minimum 11% allocation to sustainable investments that meet 'do no significant harm' criteria. Employing Franklin Templeton's proprietary ESG ratings and exclusions, the ETF holds about 90 positions from global issuers, benchmarked against the ICE BofA 0-1 Year Euro Broad Market Index. With a total expense ratio of 0.15%, it provides European investors access to stable, low-volatility euro fixed income, historically showing standard deviation under 0.3% over one year.
