Description
Vanguard USD Corporate Bond UCITS ETF Accumulating is an exchange-traded fund that provides investors with exposure to a diversified portfolio of investment-grade, US dollar-denominated corporate bonds. Launched on February 19, 2019, and domiciled in Ireland, the ETF tracks the Bloomberg Barclays Global Aggregate Corporate - United States Dollar Index using a representative sampling methodology to replicate its performance. It primarily invests in fixed-rate bonds issued by companies worldwide, with a heavy emphasis on US issuers (around 77%), alongside allocations to the UK, Canada, Japan, and others, focusing on maturities exceeding one year. The portfolio features approximately 9,500 bonds, an average credit quality of A-, a yield to maturity of about 4.8%, and a duration of roughly 6.3-6.4 years, distributed across short- to long-term maturities. Top holdings include bonds from issuers like Anheuser-Busch, PNC Financial, T-Mobile, and US Treasury notes. As an accumulating share class, it reinvests all interest income, enhancing compound growth, with a low total expense ratio of 0.07% p.a. and assets under management exceeding €2.6 billion. This ETF plays a key role in fixed-income markets by offering cost-effective access to USD corporate debt for global portfolios.
