Description
The iShares S&P 500 Consumer Discretionary Sector UCITS ETF (Acc) is an exchange-traded fund that tracks the S&P 500 Capped 35/20 Consumer Discretionary Index, focusing on U.S. large-cap companies in the consumer discretionary sector. This sector encompasses industries such as automotive, household durable goods, textiles and apparel, leisure equipment, hotels, restaurants, media production, consumer retailing, entertainment, and services that provide non-essential goods and services sensitive to economic cycles and consumer spending patterns. As a UCITS-compliant ETF domiciled in Ireland and managed by BlackRock, it adheres to strict EU regulations including diversification rules like the 5/10/40 rule, liquidity requirements, asset segregation by an independent custodian, and transparency standards to protect investors. The fund employs a long-only, physical replication strategy with a low total expense ratio of 0.15% p.a., accumulating dividends by reinvesting them to potentially compound growth. With approximately 60 holdings and assets around €642 million, it offers targeted exposure primarily to North American consumer and industrial sectors, playing a key role in enabling precise sector allocation within diversified portfolios. Inception date is 20 November 2015, with USD as the fund currency and unhedged currency risk.
