Overview
Description
HSBC S&P 500 UCITS ETF USD (Accumulating) is a physically replicated exchange-traded fund designed to mirror the performance of the S&P 500 Index, which comprises the 500 largest publicly traded companies in the United States by market capitalization. This ETF employs a full replication strategy, meaning it invests directly in all the index constituents in their respective index proportions. Its accumulating structure ensures that dividends from the underlying stocks are reinvested within the fund, rather than paid out, allowing net asset value to grow organically over time.
The fund is denominated in US dollars and is not hedged against currency risk, offering direct exposure to US equity returns. Launched in June 2022 and domiciled in Ireland, it currently manages approximately €415 million in assets. Technology, financials, and consumer discretionary sectors form the largest portions of its portfolio, with significant holdings in companies such as NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Apple. With a low total expense ratio of 0.09% per annum, the ETF is an efficient vehicle for investors seeking broad, diversified exposure to the US equity market through a single product.
