Description
Xtrackers II Germany Government Bond 0-1 UCITS ETF 1C is an exchange-traded fund that provides investors with targeted exposure to the short-term segment of the German government bond market. Launched on September 12, 2023, and domiciled in Luxembourg, the ETF is managed by DWS Investment S.A., part of Deutsche Bank AG, employing a passive physical replication strategy to track the iBoxx EUR Germany 0-1 Index. This benchmark captures the performance of Euro-denominated, fixed-rate sovereign bonds issued by the German government with remaining maturities of less than one year and a minimum outstanding amount of EUR 1 billion per bond. Focusing exclusively on investment-grade securities rated BBB- or higher by S&P and Fitch, or Baa3 or above by Moody's, the fund emphasizes ultra-short duration instruments, resulting in low volatility, with annual volatility around 0.41% and a high Sharpe ratio exceeding 8. As a capitalizing (1C) vehicle, it reinvests interest income, featuring a low total expense ratio of approximately 0.07%. With assets under management nearing 689 million EUR, it serves as a key tool for liquidity management and low-risk fixed-income allocation within diversified portfolios, reflecting the stability of German sovereign debt in the Eurozone fixed-income landscape.
