Description
iShares China CNY Bond UCITS ETF USD (Acc) is an exchange-traded fund that tracks the performance of an index comprising fixed-rate treasury bonds issued by the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China, along with debt securities from key policy banks such as China Development Bank, Agricultural Development Bank of China, and Export-Import Bank of China. Launched on 14 May 2020 and domiciled in Ireland, this accumulating ETF reinvests interest income rather than distributing it, with a total expense ratio of 0.35% per annum and assets under management around 200 million euros. Denominated in USD and currency unhedged, it exposes investors to Chinese onshore Renminbi (CNY) bonds, primarily government-related issuers where the government holds over 56% weight. The fund employs a long-only strategy with physical replication, providing a vehicle for accessing China's domestic bond market, which plays a significant role in emerging market fixed income portfolios. Managed by iShares, part of BlackRock, it offers diversified exposure to this sector amid China's economic policies and interest rate dynamics.
