Description
State Street SPDR S&P U.S. Financials Select Sector UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the S&P Financials Select Sector Daily Capped 35/20 Index. This index measures the performance of large-sized U.S. financial companies within the S&P 500, classified under the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) Financials sector, with securities weighted by market capitalization and subject to daily caps to manage concentration risk. The ETF employs full physical replication, holding all index constituents, including firms from sub-sectors such as banks, capital markets, insurance, financial services, and consumer finance. As a UCITS-compliant fund domiciled in Ireland and managed by State Street Global Advisors Europe Limited, it adheres to strict European regulations promoting diversification under the 5/10/40 rule, liquidity, asset segregation by an independent custodian, and limited leverage. Income is accumulated and reinvested, with the base currency in USD and trading available in multiple currencies including EUR, GBP, and MXN. Launched in 2015, this ETF provides European investors targeted exposure to the U.S. financial sector's key players in a regulated, transparent structure.
