Description
iShares MSCI All Country Asia ex Japan ETF is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the investment results of the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan Index. This index is a free float-adjusted market capitalization-weighted benchmark designed to measure the equity market performance of securities from 10 developed and emerging market countries or regions in Asia, excluding Japan: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of the index or in investments with substantially identical economic characteristics, employing a representative sampling technique to achieve its objective. It provides broad exposure to large- and mid-capitalization companies across diversified sectors, including growth and value stocks operating in public equity markets of the Asia ex-Japan region. Managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors and launched in 2008, the ETF domiciled in the United States plays a key role in offering investors diversified access to dynamic Asian markets outside Japan, capturing opportunities in both developed and emerging economies.
