Description
Invesco Bloomberg Commodity UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the total return performance of the Bloomberg Commodity Index, less fees. Launched on January 9, 2017, and domiciled in Ireland, it provides investors with diversified exposure to physical commodities through futures contracts across six key sectors: energy (about 22.8%), precious metals (29.3%), grains (20.5%), industrial metals (15.9%), softs (6.2%), and livestock (5.3%). The ETF employs a synthetic replication method, utilizing derivatives such as swaps to mirror the index, which emphasizes commodities based on liquidity and economic significance. Managed by Assenagon Asset Management S.A. under Invesco Markets plc, it holds a basket of US Treasury Bills as collateral and enters swap agreements to exchange performance for the index's returns. With a low ongoing charge of 0.19% and assets exceeding $3.5 billion, this UCITS-compliant fund serves as a benchmark for broad commodity market exposure, capturing spot, roll, and collateral returns while navigating risks like counterparty exposure and commodity volatility.
