Description
UBS ETF (CH) SMI® (CHF) A-dis is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to replicate the price and return performance of the Swiss Market Index SMI®, net of fees. Launched on December 2, 2003, and domiciled in Switzerland, this passively managed ETF physically replicates the index by investing in all 20 constituent stocks—the largest and most liquid companies on the Swiss equity market—with weightings matching their free float-adjusted market capitalization proportions in the SMI® Total Return Gross index. Key holdings include Nestlé SA (17.77%), Roche Holding AG (17.71%), and Novartis AG (15.92%), reflecting heavy sector exposure to Health Care (40.4%), Consumer Goods (23.4%), and Financials (18.2%). Denominated in Swiss Francs (CHF), it features a low total expense ratio of 0.20% p.a., annual distributions in September (with possible interim payouts), and management by UBS Asset Management Switzerland AG. Traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange, the ETF offers investors flexible access to Switzerland's premier blue-chip benchmark, providing broad diversification across key industries while maintaining high transparency and cost efficiency. As a UCITS non-compliant product under Swiss law, it aligns with Article 6 of EU Regulation 2019/2088 on sustainability disclosures.
