Overview
Description
Global X Euro Stoxx 50 Covered Call UCITS ETF is an equity income exchange-traded fund that tracks the EURO STOXX 50 Covered Call ATM Index. Its primary purpose is to pair exposure to leading Eurozone blue-chip companies with a systematic buy-write strategy, selling at-the-money call options on the index to generate option premium income distributed monthly. This design captures broad European large-cap equity characteristics while exchanging some upside participation for a steady income stream linked largely to market volatility. The fund is passively managed, synthetically replicates its index via a swap, and follows a UCITS framework with Article 6 SFDR classification. Notable features include a transparent rule-based approach, a total expense ratio of 0.45%, and a focus on delivering cash flows alongside core Eurozone equity exposure. It targets the same sectors represented in the Euro Stoxx 50, spanning financials, industrials, consumer, health care, and technology leaders. The product expands the covered-call toolkit in Europe by leveraging the deep derivatives ecosystem around the Euro Stoxx 50, where options and futures are among the most traded listed contracts regionally.
