Description
iShares MSCI India UCITS ETF USD (Acc) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to replicate the performance of the MSCI India Index Net USD, focusing on large and mid-capitalization stocks from the Indian equity market. This accumulating UCITS-compliant ETF reinvests dividends into the fund rather than distributing them, allowing for potential compounding of returns through an increase in share price. Managed by iShares, a BlackRock brand, it employs a physical replication strategy, holding the index's constituent equity securities in similar proportions, with approximately 78 holdings as of recent data. Launched on 24 May 2018 and domiciled in Ireland, the fund maintains a total expense ratio of 0.65% per annum and is denominated in US Dollars, exposing investors to unhedged currency risk relative to other currencies. As the largest ETF tracking the MSCI India Index, with assets under management exceeding EUR 4.6 billion, it provides a key vehicle for targeted exposure to India's dynamic economy, which includes sectors like financials, technology, and consumer goods, subject to the index's free-float-adjusted market capitalization weighting and quarterly rebalancing.
