Description
iShares STOXX Europe 50 UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund designed to track the performance of the STOXX Europe 50 Index, which comprises 50 leading blue-chip companies from 17 European countries, including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. This index highlights supersector leaders selected by free-float market capitalization, with individual constituent weights capped at 10% to ensure diversification across key sectors such as financials, health technology, consumer non-durables, electronic technology, and energy. Notable holdings include ASML Holding, SAP SE, Roche Holding, Nestlé, and Novo Nordisk. Launched on April 3, 2000, and domiciled in Ireland, the ETF employs a physical replication strategy and distributes dividends quarterly or annually, with a total expense ratio of 0.35%. Unhedged against currency risk and denominated in euros, it offers investors broad exposure to Europe's largest corporations, serving as a benchmark for developed European equity markets and facilitating liquid access to continental large-cap performance.
