Description
The UBS MSCI Canada UCITS ETF CAD acc is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to replicate the price and return performance of the MSCI Canada Index, net of fees, through full physical replication by holding all index constituents. This index tracks the largest and most liquid large-cap and mid-cap Canadian stocks, providing diversified exposure primarily to the Canadian equity market with 83 holdings across key sectors such as financials (32.52%), energy (16.11%), basic materials (11.34%), and technology (10.71%). Top holdings include Royal Bank of Canada (7.96%), Shopify Inc. (6.69%), and Toronto-Dominion Bank (5.02%), with Canada comprising 85.36% of the portfolio. Launched on 13 July 2017 and domiciled in Luxembourg, the ETF features a low total expense ratio of 0.33% p.a., accumulating distribution policy where dividends are reinvested, and currency unhedged in Canadian dollars. With assets under management around EUR 430 million (equivalent to approximately CAD 2,680 million total fund assets as of late 2025), it offers investors a cost-efficient, transparent vehicle for broad Canadian market access, emphasizing liquidity and market-cap weighting.
