It serves as a proxy for direct real estate investment by focusing on companies that own and operate commercial and residential properties across sectors like retail (21%), healthcare (15%), industrial (15%), residential (12%), and data centers (9%). The ETF employs a replicated strategy through representative sampling, holding around 225 securities with an average market capitalization of approximately $37-39 billion and a minimum of $200 million per company. Domiciled in Ireland and fully UCITS compliant, it is managed by State Street Global Advisors, launched on October 23, 2012, and distributes dividends quarterly with a total expense ratio of 0.40%. Available in multiple currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, and CHF, the fund offers diversified, liquid exposure to the global listed real estate market, which is influenced by economic conditions, interest rates, and property cycles.
