Overview
Description
L&G Asia Pacific ex Japan Equity UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund that provides investors with targeted exposure to large and mid-cap companies across developed markets in the Asia Pacific region, while explicitly excluding Japan. The ETF tracks the Solactive Core Developed Markets Pacific ex Japan Large & Mid Cap Index, ensuring a comprehensive representation of countries such as Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Its holdings span a wide variety of industries, with particularly significant allocations to financial services, basic materials, and real estate sectors, making it a diversified vehicle for accessing the economic growth of these markets. The fund employs physical replication, directly owning the underlying index constituents, and follows an accumulating distribution policy, reinvesting dividends to maximize compounding potential. Notably, companies engaged in pure coal mining, controversial weapons, or those with sustained violations of UN Global Compact principles are excluded from the index, aligning the ETF with certain sustainability criteria. With a competitive total expense ratio of 0.10% per annum and assets under management exceeding €600 million, the ETF is recognized for its cost efficiency and liquidity. Since its launch in 2018, it has played a meaningful role in portfolio diversification by enabling efficient access to a key global economic zone distinct from both Japan and Western markets.
