Description
SPDR S&P 500 EUR Hdg UCITS ETF (Acc) is an exchange-traded fund that tracks the performance of the S&P 500 EUR Dynamic Hedged Index, providing exposure to large-cap U.S. equity securities while hedging currency risk against the euro. Launched on October 31, 2018, and domiciled in Ireland, it employs a full replication strategy to hold all constituents of the S&P 500 Index, including top companies like Apple, Microsoft, and NVIDIA, across diversified sectors such as information technology, financials, and communication services. The fund dynamically hedges 100% of its USD exposure to EUR on a monthly basis using one-month forward contracts, with intra-month adjustments to maintain hedge ratios between 95% and 105%, mitigating exchange rate fluctuations. As an accumulating UCITS-compliant ETF managed by State Street Global Advisors, it reinvests dividends to enhance share value rather than distributing them, features a low total expense ratio of 0.05%, and supports securities lending up to 40% of net asset value. With approximately 503 holdings, an average market cap exceeding $1.18 trillion, and assets around €2.36 billion, it offers European investors a cost-efficient vehicle for U.S. market participation insulated from currency volatility, trading in EUR with daily liquidity.
