Description
The VanEck iBoxx EUR Sovereign Diversified 1-10 UCITS ETF is a UCITS-compliant exchange-traded fund that provides investors with targeted exposure to euro-denominated government bonds from Eurozone countries. It tracks the Markit iBoxx EUR Liquid Sovereign Diversified 1-10 Index, which includes approximately 25 of the largest and most liquid investment-grade sovereign bonds with remaining maturities between 1 and 10 years. Each issuer is capped at a maximum weight of 20%, and bonds must have a minimum issue size of EUR 2 billion, ensuring diversification across key Eurozone governments such as France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Austria, and the Netherlands. Launched on April 14, 2011, and domiciled in the Netherlands, the ETF employs a physical full replication strategy, holding the underlying securities to closely mirror the index's performance through capital growth and income. With a low total expense ratio of 0.15% p.a., it distributes dividends quarterly, offering a recent yield around 0.40% to 1.61%. Managing approximately EUR 30 million in assets, this ETF serves a vital role in fixed-income portfolios by delivering low-risk exposure to diversified Eurozone sovereign debt, mitigating single-country concentration while navigating interest rate, credit, and liquidity risks.
