Description
Amundi MSCI Japan-DIS is a UCITS-compliant exchange-traded fund (ETF) that tracks the performance of the MSCI Japan Index on a capital return basis, with currency hedging to euros and a distributing share class. Launched in September 2020 and domiciled in Luxembourg, it is managed by Amundi ETF and employs a long-only strategy with physical replication to mirror the index's movements, whether rising or falling. With approximately 170 million euros in assets under management, the ETF maintains a low total expense ratio of 0.20% per annum, deducted continuously from fund assets. It focuses exclusively on Japanese equities, providing investors targeted exposure to Japan's large- and mid-cap companies across diverse sectors without sustainability screening. Distributions occur annually, with recent yields around 1.76% to 2.28% based on trailing 12-month dividends of 0.64 euros per share. Currency hedging mitigates exchange rate fluctuations between the Japanese yen and euro, enhancing stability for euro-based portfolios. Amundi MSCI Japan-DIS plays a key role in international equity allocation, offering an efficient, cost-effective vehicle for accessing Japan's dynamic market within diversified global strategies.
