iShares Future AI & Tech ETF is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the Morningstar Global Artificial Intelligence Select Index. This index comprises U.S. and non-U.S. companies providing products and services expected to contribute to artificial intelligence technologies, spanning generative AI, AI data and infrastructure, AI software, and AI services. The fund holds a concentrated portfolio of around 49 global equities, selected and weighted based on modified market capitalization, with emphasis on companies' roles in the AI value chain, projected profit growth from AI exposure, and revenue derived from these subthemes. Holdings include leaders in semiconductors, data center infrastructure, and AI software, with significant geographic allocation to the United States, Taiwan, South Korea, France, and Japan. Launched in 2018 and managed by BlackRock, iShares Future AI & Tech ETF offers investors targeted exposure to the AI sector across developed and emerging markets, reconstituted annually and rebalanced quarterly for alignment with evolving AI innovations.
