Description
Aldebaran Resources Inc. is a mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition and advancement of large-scale copper and gold projects, predominantly in Argentina. The company is best known for its substantial 80% interest in the Altar copper-gold project, located in the mining-friendly San Juan province. Altar is regarded as one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper projects, with significant measured, indicated, and inferred resources across several porphyry centers. The project holds billions of pounds of copper and millions of ounces of gold and silver, positioning Aldebaran as a notable junior player in the global copper market. Partnerships with major industry names, such as South32 and Rio Tinto's Nuton division, underscore the strategic importance of the Altar project. In addition to Altar, Aldebaran wholly owns the Rio Grande project and other exploration properties in Argentina, expanding its footprint in key resource-rich districts. Headquartered in Vancouver and formed in 2018 as a spin-out from Regulus Resources, Aldebaran Resources Inc. plays a pivotal role in supplying future metals demand through exploration and project development.
