Highland Opportunities and Income Fund

Highland Opportunities and Income Fund is a closed-end investment fund managed by NexPoint Asset Management, L.P. Its primary objective is to deliver both capital appreciation and current income by opportunistically allocating assets across a diverse range of strategies. The fund invests in alternative asset classes, including real estate-backed securities, private credit and equity, structured credit such as collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), and opportunistic public instruments. A minimum of 25% of the fund’s assets are allocated to real estate-related instruments, including real estate investment trusts (REITs), preferred equity, and mezzanine debt. Additional investments span secured and unsecured loans, corporate bonds, distressed securities, convertible and preferred securities, and both public and private equities, as well as futures, options, and floating rate loans. Highland Opportunities and Income Fund frequently adapts its strategy to capitalize on market inefficiencies and special situations, such as market dislocations or distressed credit opportunities.
