Overview
Description
SPDR Bloomberg Global Aggregate Bond UCITS ETF EUR Hedged (Acc) is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) designed to replicate the performance of the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Bond Index, with all currency exposure hedged to the euro. The ETF invests in a diversified portfolio of investment grade, fixed-rate debt securities from global issuers—including government, government-related, corporate, asset-backed, and mortgage-backed bonds—across both developed and emerging markets. Its passive strategy follows the index using stratified sampling, aiming to provide broad, transparent market exposure to global bonds while minimizing the impact of currency fluctuations for euro-denominated investors.
The fund accumulates its earnings rather than paying them out, reinvesting all interest proceeds to maximize growth over time. With over EUR 170 million in assets under management and more than 10,000 holdings, the ETF maintains a high degree of diversification. Its allocations are weighted toward sovereign treasuries, corporate bonds, and mortgage-backed securities, supporting portfolio stability and risk mitigation. By offering monthly currency hedging and complying with UCITS standards, the ETF plays a crucial role for institutional and retail investors seeking efficient access to global fixed income markets without direct currency risk.
