Description
Bluefield Solar Income Fund Limited is a closed-ended investment company specializing in renewable energy infrastructure. Established as the first solar-focused entity listed on the London Stock Exchange since its IPO in 2013, it now holds FTSE 250 status and focuses on acquiring and managing a diversified portfolio of UK-based utility-scale solar photovoltaic assets, alongside wind and energy storage facilities on greenfield, brownfield, industrial, and commercial sites. Its primary objective is to deliver shareholders an attractive total return, predominantly through stable quarterly income distributions generated from long-term, regulated revenues backed by long-dated power purchase agreements and subsidies. With over 200 operational assets across more than 16 UK counties, boasting approximately 850 MWp installed capacity and net asset value around £675 million as of late 2025, the fund emphasizes responsible management across the asset lifecycle—from development to optimization—while contributing significantly to environmental goals by saving over one million tonnes of CO2 equivalent since inception. Advised by Bluefield Partners, it integrates ESG principles to support the UK's net zero transition and provide uncorrelated returns in the green economy.
