Description
Sprott Uranium Miners UCITS ETF Acc is an accumulating exchange-traded fund that provides investors with targeted exposure to the global uranium mining sector. It seeks to replicate the performance of the North Shore Global Uranium Mining Index by investing at least 80% of its assets in securities of companies involved in uranium mining, exploration, development, production, or related activities, including holders of physical uranium and royalty interests. This pure-play ETF emphasizes firms dedicating at least 50% of their assets to the uranium industry, spanning large, medium, and small-cap companies primarily in the energy sector. Key holdings include leading producers like Cameco Corp., Uranium Energy Corp., and Sprott Physical Uranium Trust, alongside explorers such as Paladin Energy Ltd. and Denison Mines Corp., with top 10 holdings comprising over 80% of the portfolio. Designed for the UCITS framework, it supports energy security and nuclear power's role in meeting rising global electricity demand amid commitments to triple capacity by 2050. With a net expense ratio of 0.75% and around 26-28 holdings, the fund plays a vital role in offering diversified access to uranium equities during periods of supply constraints and growing nuclear energy adoption.
