Overview
Description
The VanEck Uranium and Nuclear Technologies UCITS ETF is an equity-based, passively managed exchange-traded fund that provides targeted exposure to global companies operating across the uranium mining and nuclear energy infrastructure spectrum. Its principal aim is to track the performance of the MarketVector Global Uranium and Nuclear Energy Infrastructure Index through a strategy of full physical replication, directly holding the stocks comprising the index. The ETF includes firms involved in uranium extraction, the development and maintenance of nuclear power facilities, and suppliers of critical technologies for the industry. Key constituents are leading names from the United States, Canada, and Japan, with top sectors comprising energy and industrials. As an accumulating fund, all dividends are reinvested, supporting compound growth within the ETF. Launched in February 2023 and domiciled in Ireland, it is UCITS-compliant and features a total expense ratio of 0.55% per annum. With a fund size of over €1.1 billion, the ETF plays a significant role for investors seeking diversified access to the nuclear energy value chain and the broader transition toward low-carbon, reliable power generation.
