Description
The iShares iBonds Dec 2028 Term EUR Corporate UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund that tracks the Bloomberg MSCI December 2028 Maturity EUR Corporate ESG Screened Index through a sampling technique, focusing on investment-grade corporate bonds denominated in euros maturing in December 2028. Launched in August 2023 and domiciled in Ireland, it is managed by BlackRock and classified under Article 8 for sustainable investments, incorporating ESG screening criteria. The ETF holds a diversified portfolio of approximately 379 bonds from major European issuers such as Banque Federative du Credit Mutuel, BPCE, and Societe Generale, primarily in the financial sector, with an average duration of around 2.53 years and a yield to maturity of about 2.67%. As an accumulating fund with a low total expense ratio of 0.12% p.a., it reinvests income and engages in limited securities lending to enhance returns. With assets under management exceeding EUR 1.2 billion, this term ETF plays a key role in fixed income markets by offering targeted exposure to short-to-medium term euro corporate debt, aiding investors in duration-matched strategies until its target maturity.
