Description
Amundi S&P World Energy Screened UCITS ETF Acc is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that tracks the S&P World Energy Weighted & Screened Index, a net total return benchmark designed to provide exposure to global energy sector companies while enhancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) profiles. Launched in 2022 as a sub-fund of Amundi ETF ICAV, it employs physical replication by investing directly in index constituents, such as Exxon Mobil, Enbridge, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, and BP, which represent major holdings focused on oil, gas, pipelines, and energy services across developed markets. The index applies rigorous ESG filters, excluding firms involved in controversial weapons or severe controversies, and optimizes for reduced carbon emission intensity and improved S&P Global ESG scores relative to its parent index. This Article 8 product under the EU Disclosure Regulation integrates sustainability risks and promotes ESG characteristics without sacrificing sector representation. With an accumulating share class, it reinvests dividends to compound value, catering to long-term investors seeking screened energy exposure in diversified portfolios amid global energy transitions.
