Description
Sprott Uranium Miners ETF is an exchange-traded fund that provides targeted exposure to the uranium mining sector. It seeks to track the performance of the North Shore Global Uranium Mining Index by investing at least 80% of its total assets in securities of companies that devote at least 50% of their assets to uranium-related activities. These include mining, exploration, development, and production of uranium, as well as holding physical uranium, owning uranium royalties, or engaging in supporting non-mining operations. The ETF offers pure-play access to global uranium miners and related entities, with holdings weighted toward miners and a portion allocated to physical uranium holdings. Managed passively, it features around 26 holdings, including major names in uranium production and exploration. Sprott Uranium Miners ETF plays a key role in the financial markets by enabling investors to gain diversified entry into the uranium industry, which supports nuclear energy production and addresses global demands for reliable, low-carbon electricity sources. Launched in 2019 and managed by Sprott Asset Management USA, Inc., it stands as a specialized vehicle in the commodities and energy sectors.
