Description
The Global X European Infrastructure Development UCITS ETF EUR Accumulating is a thematic equity exchange-traded fund launched in September 2024 and domiciled in Ireland. It tracks the Mirae Asset European Infrastructure Development Index, offering targeted exposure to companies benefiting from infrastructure modernization across developed European markets. The ETF emphasizes four key areas: traditional infrastructure such as transport and utilities; networks including telecommunications and energy grids; clean energy projects like renewables; and digital infrastructure encompassing data centers and broadband. With around €257-289 million in assets under management, a total expense ratio of 0.47%, and an accumulating structure that reinvests dividends, it holds 38 stocks primarily from Spain (33.6%), France (24%), and Italy (14.3%), dominated by industrials (55.6%) and utilities (14.1%). This fund captures Europe's €2 trillion infrastructure investment gap by 2040, supported by over €1.38 trillion in EU programs like NextGenerationEU, enabling participation in pan-European development without direct project exposure.
