May 2026 updates
May added a new official client library for Java developers, opened up press releases data without an additional licence, and brought mutual funds into the demo environment for the first time.
Java client is live
We shipped an official Java client library for Twelve Data. Java developers can now connect to the full API using a native client rather than managing raw HTTP requests. This joins the existing Python, Node.js, and Go libraries, rounding out coverage for the most widely used backend languages.
Press releases, no ASX licence required
The /press_releases endpoint is now accessible without an ASX licence. If you were previously blocked from using press releases data because of the licensing requirement, that restriction has been removed. The endpoint returns company announcements and is available across supported plans.
Mutual funds in the demo environment
Mutual funds data is now available to explore in the demo environment. This gives you a hands-on way to evaluate the dataset coverage, structure, and response format before committing to a plan that includes it.
Broader crypto and currency logo coverage
New cryptocurrency logos have been added to the platform alongside official logo updates. These appear across the web platform and API responses where asset logos are returned.
