Perpetua Announces New Gold Discovery at Stibnite Gold Project & Continued High Grades from Clark Tunnel Fault Zone

First drill hole at the Fiddle prospect returns 109.7 m of 3.2 g/t Au and 1.1% Sb, located south of the permitted Yellow Pine open pit

Clark Tunnel Fault Zone drilling returns 25.4 m of 4.5 g/t Au and 25.0 m of 2.3 g/t Au

BOISE, Idaho, Nov. 4, 2026 /CNW/ -- Perpetua Resources Corp. (Nasdaq: PPTA) (TSX: PPTA) ("Perpetua Resources," "Perpetua," or the "Company") today provided an update on exploration activities at the Company's Stibnite Gold Project (the "Project") in central Idaho. The 2026 Exploration Drilling Program is now complete with over 16,000 meters of core drilling across the Project. The program's objectives included upgrading in-pit and near-pit inferred resources, extending mineralization along strike, testing key underground targets, and following up on discoveries from the 2025-2026 drill program (see Appendix for full drill hole interval and sub-interval data).

Initial assays from the Fiddle target returned 109.7 meters grading 3.2 g/t gold, 1.1% antimony in hole SB633, beginning at 189 meters downhole. SB633 represents one of the broadest continuous intervals of gold and antimony mineralization returned to date from Stibnite while also exhibiting grades more than double the Project's life-of-mine average. Additional assays came from 3 holes: SB637, which extended mineralization 110 meters to the north, and SB643 and SB646, which were drilled from a pad to the north of SB633. An additional 21 holes were drilled along strike of SB633. Two subsequent holes, SB665 and SB671, were drilled to the south and are awaiting assay. Core logging identified both holes as having similar style mineralization to hole SB633, including abundant stibnite and sulfides within the mineralized zones.

Follow-up drilling from the Clark Tunnel Fault Zone ("CTFZ") continued to demonstrate near-surface, high grades including 25.4 meters of 4.5 g/t gold from 13 meters downhole (SB606) and 25.0 meters of 2.3 g/t gold from 18 meters downhole (SB605). Antimony and tungsten assay results for these holes are currently pending. Recently identified high-grade Au-Sb mineralization in the CTFZ is partly within the permitted Yellow Pine pit and has the potential to supplement the existing production profile, with results detailed further below.

"Given their close proximity to the permitted Yellow Pine pit, Fiddle and the CTFZ were prioritized as key targets for the 2026 exploration program," said Jon Cherry, President and CEO of Perpetua Resources. "At Fiddle, our initial hole returned broad, continuous mineralization at significant gold and antimony grades which confirm it as an important new discovery. Meanwhile, drilling continues to reinforce the CTFZ as a near-surface, high-grade target on the eastern extent of the Yellow Pine pit. We're pleased with the results from our recent drilling which align with our objectives of expanding our currently defined resource base and extending our compelling production profile."

Fiddle Discovery

Fiddle's discovery hole, SB633, returned 109.7 meters grading 3.2 g/t gold and 1.1% antimony, among the most significant mineralized intercepts encountered at the Project to date, underscoring the importance of the discovery. Located approximately 750 meters south of the permitted Yellow Pine pit (Figure 1) along the Meadow Creek Fault Zone ("MCFZ"), Fiddle adds a new target area to the Project's growing in-pit and near-pit resource base. The north-trending MCFZ is the district's main ore-controlling structure, which runs through both the Yellow Pine and Hangar Flats deposits and hosts intrusive-hosted mineralization along its flanks. To test the structural controls of the MCFZ, three holes were subsequently drilled at Fiddle. This included SB637, which extended mineralization to the north and returned 37.4 meters grading 0.7 g/t gold, 0.1% antimony from 93.8 meters downhole.

Figure 2: Fiddle Prospect Long Section

Holes SB643 and SB646 were drilled from a pad located approximately 200 meters to the north of SB633 and in an easterly orientation to better define the geometry of the MCFZ. Assays from this drilling included 7.2 meters grading 1.7 g/t gold, 0.5% antimony from 96.7 meters downhole (SB643), consistent with the structural interpretation noted above.

An additional 21 holes totaling 6,188 meters were subsequently drilled on strike to the north and south of SB633. Two subsequent holes, SB665 and SB671, were collared from pads south of SB633 and oriented west to target the core of the interpreted Fiddle structure. Core logging identified similar style mineralization to those logged in hole SB633, including abundant stibnite and sulfides within the mineralized zones. While these visual and structural observations are encouraging, they are not a substitute for assay results, and there can be no assurance that subsequent holes will return grades or widths comparable to SB633. With significant drilling completed this season, Company staff continues to process and log core ahead of assaying with a significant quantity of new results expected over the coming months.

Fiddle was among the key targets identified for testing under the Company's 2026 exploration program. Combining historical drilling and sampling data from underground workings, Perpetua identified the Fiddle prospect as a highly prospective corridor with the potential to host stacked mineralized lenses akin to those defined at the Hangar Flats deposit on trend to the south. Located along the MCFZ, drilling to date has traced the mineralized structure along approximately 600 meters of strike length and across more than 300 meters of vertical extent, north and south of and beneath Fiddle.

Clark Tunnel Fault Zone (CTFZ) Follow-Up Drilling

The Yellow Pine pit is the highest-grade gold and antimony pit at Stibnite. The CTFZ is a zone located on the eastern end of the Yellow Pine permitted pit with current drilling testing areas within and around the pit limit. Given its combination of high grades and near-surface location, the CTFZ has the potential to supplement the existing Yellow Pine production profile in the first years of production.

New results from the CTFZ continued to demonstrate near-surface, high-grade gold including 25.4 meters of 4.5 g/t from 13 meters downhole (SB606) and 25.0 meters of 2.3 g/t from 18 meters downhole (SB605). Both stibnite and scheelite, a tungsten-bearing mineral, were observed during core logging. Antimony and tungsten assay results for these holes are currently pending and will be reported once received. These high-grade results follow Perpetua's first holes in this zone which were announced in August 2026. Those included SB580 returning 6.4 meters of 16.2 g/t gold and 1.7% antimony beginning at surface. Perpetua also successfully defined a new gold-tungsten zone in hole SB597 with 21.3 meters of 3.2 g/t gold and 0.9% tungsten beginning 24 meters downhole. Inclusive of new drilling, Perpetua has defined the CTFZ over a 200-meter strike length and down to 50 meters depth with an additional 4 holes drilled and pending assay.

Perpetua Resources Awarded Up to $40 Million in U.S. Army Funding to Advance Domestic Tungsten Supply for American Defense

Agreement through Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium for Tungsten Exploration Adds Second Critical Mineral Pillar for Perpetua Resources

Program Focused on Drilling, Metallurgical Test Work and Construction of a Decline into Hangar Flats

Hangar Flats Decline to Access High-Grade Tungsten, 1.37 Million Ounces of Gold, and 95 Million Pounds of Antimony Not in Reserves

BOISE, Idaho, Oct. 26, 2026 /CNW/ -- Perpetua Resources Corp. (Nasdaq: PPTA) (TSX: PPTA) ("Perpetua Resources" or "Perpetua" or the "Company") today announced a new 36-month, $40 million award through the U.S. Army's Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium ("DOTC") from the Portfolio Acquisition Executive Agile Sustainment & Ammunition ("PAE AS&A") located at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. This award will fund a program to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of producing tungsten concentrate at the historical Stibnite Mining District ("Stibnite") in Idaho. Structured as a cost-share program between the Company and the U.S. Government, funding will support drilling to define a potential tungsten mineral resource, collection of material for laboratory and bench-scale metallurgical testing and permitting and engineering of an exploration decline to access areas of known tungsten mineralization.

Perpetua Resources logo

"Resilient mineral solutions start here in America," said Jon Cherry, Perpetua Resources President & CEO. "The U.S. Army's additional investment in a historically proven American tungsten source at Stibnite underscores the growing strategic value of Stibnite's mineral endowment and continues to strengthen the partnerships supporting Perpetua's future. Historical production and recent exploration results suggest Stibnite has the potential to be one of the world's highest-grade tungsten sources."

There has been no commercial tungsten mining in the United States since 2015. The U.S. is wholly reliant on imports from a small number of countries, with recent Chinese export controls and new federal sourcing restrictions adding to the defense and manufacturing supply risk. The Stibnite mining district has a history of antimony and tungsten production, supplying roughly half of the tungsten and 90% of the antimony used by the United States during World War II1. When the war ended, mining for tungsten and antimony concluded, leaving identified mineralized materials behind.

Recent Perpetua exploration drilling at Stibnite has identified high-grade zones of antimony and tungsten mineralization. Specifically, Perpetua's drilling program at the Hangar Flats deposit returned significant tungsten-antimony mineralization, as previously reported, including:

  • 9.8 meters grading 4.6% tungsten, 8.3% antimony
  • 22.9 meters grading 1.2% tungsten, 3.2% antimony
  • 3.4 meters grading 1.5% tungsten, 10.6% antimony

These encouraging results underpin the new DOTC award which will focus largely on the tungsten mineralization beneath the Hangar Flats pit. Perpetua's proposed program with the U.S. Army includes an initial surface exploration drilling program and metallurgical test work on an existing 550-kilogram sample compiled from prior exploration activities grading 9.2% antimony and 4.2% tungsten. Other work will include the design, permitting, and possible construction of an exploration decline to access the high-grade antimony, tungsten and gold mineralization beneath the Hangar Flats pit.

In addition to drilling for tungsten under the DOTC award, the Company intends to continue to advance its own ongoing exploration activities underneath the currently permitted Hangar Flats pit which contains approximately 1.37 million ounces of gold resources and over 95 million pounds of antimony resources not included in the current mine plan or in the Company's reported mineral reserves. The Company believes that accessing this material via underground mining may supplement the Company's existing production profile. Any activity outside the scope of the currently permitted mine plan will require additional regulatory review and permitting.

Perpetua will design and implement the tungsten exploration project and will match the U.S. Army's $40 million contribution in the joint investment. The initial 18-month phase is expected to cost approximately $18 million and be shared equally between Perpetua and the U.S. Army. The timing, scope and cost of subsequent phases are subject to ongoing development based on results of prior exploration, testing, engineering and permitting activities, as well as approval of each incremental phase of additional funding.

This new award brings total U.S. Government awards to Perpetua for critical minerals to $126 million since 2022. In addition to the announced DOTC grant, Perpetua has submitted proposals for additional grants to further expand its critical minerals program. While there can be no assurance that the Company will obtain additional funding, Perpetua believes its broader claim package is uniquely positioned to support U.S. government critical mineral initiatives.

Umpire samples are routinely submitted to third party labs and blank and standard samples are inserted at appropriate intervals for quality assurance and quality control. A review of the results of analyses of blanks, standards and duplicates by the Company's Qualified Person indicates values are within normal and acceptable ranges.

Analyses for antimony and tungsten in metallurgical samples were completed at Hazen Research, ALS Global, and SVL laboratories. Antimony was analyzed using wet chemistry AAS and titration methods and by fusion followed by XRF analysis. Tungsten was analyzed by fusion followed by XRF analysis.

Antimony and tungsten analysis for Hangar Flats drill holes SB519-SB527 were performed with a Vanta Portable XRF in the field. Multiple readings were collected and averaged. The XRF protocol entailed analysis of reference standards and a blank sample throughout the use of the instrument. Overall, 99 non-duplicate analyses with appropriate data formatting were collected from QA/QC samples, representing approximately 5% of total analyses. Generally, the XRF QA data is considered sufficient for the objectives of the program.
